AwareXone

Social media account recovery service in Singapore

At a glance

If your account is hacked or disabled in Singapore, start with the platform's recovery page. If money was lost, contact your bank, call the ScamShield Helpline on 1799 and file a police report with the Singapore Police Force. AwareXone offers a remote case review. Only the platform can restore access.

In Singapore, WhatsApp and social impersonation scams often appear next to platform takeovers, including money requests after a contact's account is compromised. Public advisories come from the Singapore Police Force and ScamShield; account restoration still depends on Meta, TikTok or the other platform.

What to do first in Singapore

  1. Secure your email and change its password.
  2. Use the platform's official recovery page for the hacked account.
  3. Warn your contacts not to send money or codes to "you".
  4. Keep evidence: screenshots, security emails, the time you lost access and your original email or phone.

Platform steps: hacked Facebook account, hacked Instagram account, hacked WhatsApp account and hacked TikTok account.

When to involve Singapore authorities

  • ScamShield Helpline 1799 (24/7): check whether something is a scam, get advice and be directed to your bank if you are a victim. From overseas, call +65 6869 1799.
  • Police report: the helpline cannot file a report for you. Use the SPF Lodge Police Report e-service or a Neighbourhood Police Centre, and call 999 for urgent police help.
  • Sharing scam information: the Police Hotline at 1800-255-0000 or the I-Witness e-service.
  • Technical cyber incidents: SingCERT, run by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore.

ScamShield app reports help block scam numbers, but they are not official police reports.

Hacking back and recovery scams

Unauthorised access to computer material is an offence under section 3 of Singapore's Computer Misuse Act 1993, so paying a "hacker" to break into an account, even your own, risks breaking the law and usually ends in being scammed. Watch for requests for passwords, OTPs or Singpass details, and payment by crypto or gift cards. If you are unsure whether an offer is a scam, ScamShield suggests calling 1799. How AwareXone helps clients in Singapore

We work remotely, so you do not need to be in Malaysia. You send a case review request with the platform, what changed and what you have already tried. We tell you whether your case looks recoverable, which official route fits, and what evidence the platform will ask for. Then we work only through the platform's official channels. Only the platform can restore access, so no outcome is guaranteed.

We never ask for your password, login codes, backup codes or session cookies, and we do not break into accounts. AwareXone has handled 1,300+ account recovery and removal cases, with client names kept anonymous.

We reply within five hours, 9am to 11pm Malaysia time, every day. Singapore is on the same clock as Malaysia, so those are your local hours too. Fees outside Malaysia are quoted in USD after review.
