Reddit can only send a reset link to the verified email connected to your account. It also says it cannot tell you which email is on an account, because it cannot verify your identity. Instead, enter any email addresses you may have used into Reddit's username recovery feature, and Reddit will email you any usernames connected to each address. That tells you which inbox to use for the reset. ## I signed up with a phone number, Google or Apple If you created the account with your phone number, an email may not be attached. Reddit says to log in using the Continue with phone number option and add an email address in your account settings, then reset the password. If you chose Continue with Google or Continue with Apple when you signed up, you used single sign-on. Reddit says you can sign in with your Google Account or Apple ID and reset your password from there. If you use Apple devices, your account may have been created with Apple's Hide My Email option, which creates a private relay address that forwards to your real email. To reset with an email rather than a username, you need that relay address. Reddit says you can find it in your device settings under your name, then iCloud, then Hide My Email. ## Is the email stuck in spam or blocked? 1. Wait up to an hour. Reddit says the reset email can take that long depending on your connection and provider. 2. Check spam, trash and any filtered folders or tabs. 3. Add noreply@reddit.com and the @reddit.com domain to your safe or allowed senders list. 4. If you use Yahoo or Hotmail, follow the provider steps Reddit links to, then request a new reset email. 5. If your inbox forwards to another address, still enter the address connected to Reddit. ## What if there is no email on the account at all? Reddit is clear about this case. If you have not added an email address to your account and you cannot remember your password, you are locked out until you remember it, and Reddit says there is no way for it to send you a reset email or help you gain access.
